St. Patrick’s Cup Finals Deliver Drama, Celebration, and Community
After a great day of competition at Páirc na nGael, we’re taking the weekend off to rest, recover, and reflect on our St. Patrick’s Cup Finals.
From the opening throw-in to the final whistle, the day was filled with hard-fought battles, dramatic finishes, and raw emotion. Several matches came down to the final seconds. The passion, determination, and competitive spirit on display made for a great day of games.
Congratulations to our 2026 St. Patrick’s Cup Champions:
Ladies Gaelic Football: Fog City Harps
Junior Hurling: Kavanaugh’s
Junior Football: Ulster
Intermediate Hurling: Pearse Óg
Senior Hurling: Tipperary
Senior Football: Sean Treacy’s
In addition to championship action, fans were treated to Minor Football, and a chance to see the next generation of San Francisco GAA players in action.
It was also a day to recognize and thank Micheál Smith and his wife, Claire, as they prepare for their next chapter. Micheál and Claire have given so much to the Irish and GAA communities throughout the western United States. We’re grateful for their years of service, leadership, and friendship, and we wish them every success in the future.
Events like the St. Patrick’s Cup Finals are only possible because of the efforts of so many people working behind the scenes. Thank you to our volunteers, from ticket takers and concession stand workers to the bartenders in the pub. Thank you to the officials who traveled in to help make the day a success. Thank you to the coaches, players, supporters, families, and everyone who contributed their time and energy.
Thank you as well to the vendors who joined us. Tyra’s Treat Truck literally ran out of ice cream and had to leave early. The Irish Castle returned for the second year in a row and was a welcome addition to the day.
A special thank you to everyone who visited Páirc na nGael for the first time. We hope you enjoyed the experience and that we’ll see you again when the action continues with our Championship Cup season, which begins on Saturday, June 13, and runs through Sunday, August 2. Be sure to check out the June schedule and make plans to join us throughout the summer.
Thank you again to everyone who helped make the St. Patrick’s Cup Finals a memorable occasion.
