Malachy J. Higgins honor guard
On August 14th, the San Francisco GAA Honor Guard bid final farewell to Malachy J. Higgins.
A proud native of Cloncoose, County Leitrim, and a pillar of the San Francisco GAA community, Malachy gave decades of service to Gaelic sport in San Francisco. He served as Chairman of the Western Divisional Board, on the North American County Board, and as a member of the San Francisco Youth League. He refereed countless matches, always bringing fairness, good humor, and a deep love for Gaelic sport.
Beyond his official roles, he was a friend and mentor to generations of players and supporters. His commitment to our games and his kindness to those around him will be fondly remembered by the community he helped to build.
