Training Sessions

Hillsdale High School - north Tuesdays 7PM

St. Joseph’s is best known for representing the SF Penninsula and the South Bay (San Jose!) in hurling, but we’ve got dedicated members hailing from as far north as Oakland to as far south as Monterey. We’ve got a mix of life-long players and a sizable cohort of new-to-hurling players, so if you’re looking for a team to get gametime or just looking to learn more about this most viscerally thrilling of field sports - get in touch!

St Joseph’s GAA was founded in 1995, and in the early 2000s the club, uniquely in the USA, boasted two hurling teams, a Gaelic football team, and a Ladies’ Gaelic Football team. The club went dormant in 2002 but was revived ten years later, and today the club concentrates on hurling and supporting the broader San Francisco GAA and USGAA community.

We’re also very very supportive of the local collegiate hurling community. We’ve many hurlers from Stanford, and we’ve helped coach and organize hurling at UC Berkeley. If you’re involved in a college and looking for any support, such as assistance in training or arranging games, get in touch.

Additionally, we’d be pleased to train with any hurlers or camogs, at any level, so get in touch to build the community!
