The Road to Boston Begins at Páirc na nGael

The road to the USGAA Finals officially began this past weekend as the San Francisco GAA Championship Cup season got underway at Páirc na nGael on Treasure Island.

Hundreds of players, supporters, families, and friends gathered to cheer their favorite clubs as six matches were contested in hurling, Gaelic football, and ladies Gaelic football.

Our opening weekend produced plenty of standout performances, with Tipperary earning an impressive Junior Hurling victory, the Fog City Harps opening their championship campaign with an impressive win in Ladies Gaelic Football, the Young Irelanders recording wins in both Junior and Senior Football, the Joseph Mary Plunketts delivering a dominant Junior Hurling performance, and the Sean Treacy's closing out the weekend with a strong Senior Football victory.

With the first round of Championship Cup fixtures now complete, clubs have begun their push toward the San Francisco GAA Finals on August 2nd, where divisional titles and qualification for the USGAA Finals in Boston will be on the line.

The action continues at Páirc na nGael this Sunday, June 21st, so be sure to view the full schedule and come out to support your club.

Don't forget to save the date for Championship Cup Finals Day on August 2nd, one of the premier events on the Northern California Gaelic sports calendar.
